ACQUISITIONS & PRIVATE CONSULTATIONS
The Work
Collecting fine art photography is a deeply personal endeavor that unfolds over time, guided by instinct, mood, and environment. The impulse may be intentional: a prior affinity for a subject or locale that leads you to seek a suitable image from my body of work. Or it may be immediate: a particular photograph you encounter that simply holds your attention and compels acquisition.
My work spans more than three decades of travel and observation across four continents. I have photographed the high-altitude frontier where the Himalaya, Hindu Kush, and Karakoram converge near the border of Pakistan and China, where shepherds still move their herds past Khunjerab Pass at nearly 15,400 feet, and the Alpine landscapes of Switzerland, Germany, and Italy—from Zermatt and Wengen to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Bernina line into Tirano.
Following the long tradition of the Grand Tour, I have sought out the architectural geometries, public art, and layered urbanscapes of Europe’s most storied cities—working to create images that are less documentation than interpretation.
Closer to home, the American landscape presents its own scale and complexity. Distances are vaster, histories measured differently, and the natural monuments themselves dwarf their European counterparts—the Grand Canyon exceeds the area of entire nations; the largest national parks span millions of acres. My domestic projects range from sociological studies of spatial arrangement at Harvard Yard to large-format panoramas across the contiguous states, Alaska, and Hawaii, and an extensive body of work from Florida destinations and particularly the First Coast. It is a region I now call home.

There is a persistent notion that good art is agnostic of its equipment—that sharpness and bokeh are bourgeois preoccupations. Yet every serious artist, across every medium, has attended with care to the tools of the trade. In photography, the camera system, the focal length and resolving power of the lens, the characteristics and dimensions of the sensor, and the entire workflow from capture through post-production do not merely record an image—they precondition its aesthetics, behavior, and cultural meaning. The gear is not just a tool. It is a perceptual framework.
I select equipment deliberately for the specific demands of each body of work: the Hasselblad system for its Natural Color Science, aesthetics, and form factor; Leica for the responsiveness required in street and documentary work; Cambo technical cameras for architectural precision; and—my particular passion—dedicated Leica Monochrome and Phase One Achromatic sensors for the tonal depth that only a purpose-built monochromatic system can achieve.
These are not interchangeable tools. Each produces a distinct visual signature, and every piece in this portfolio reflects a deliberate pairing of instrument and intent—resulting in files of exceptional fidelity, reproducible at very large scale on a bespoke, edition-of-one basis.

To maintain the highest gallery standards, I collaborate with world-renowned printing laboratories: WhiteWall in Germany and Miller’s Professional Imaging in the United States. Pieces are produced in custom dimensions with archival finishes, including face-mounted acrylics, museum-grade framing, and matted fine art prints.
