Panoramas
Ponte dell'Accademia, Venice Italy: I went to this spot on four consecutive days, and finally got a few minutes where fog partially cleared up. I used a 100 mm lens, made and merged four images for this panorama image.
The Last Sunrise of the year 2021: San Marco Basin in Venetian Lagoon, right across the Riva degi Schiavoni and Doge's Palace. Leica Monochrom with 28mm lens.
Alone on the last day of year 2021: This has been a challenging year for Venice. Due to pandemic, the tourism declined dramatically. This place – the San Marco Square – is the beating heart of Venice, yet on this foggy morning, it was almost deserted. Leica Monochrom, 28mm lens.
These seven panels – seven virtues – are displayed in Uffizi Gallery. It is always crowded and there is limited space to back off to capture the whole installation. I used a 17mm Tilt Shift lens to make two images and then merged them together. Later, I imported it in Illustrator to add the names of paintings and the painter for the final image.
