It was evening all morning.
Clouds materialized, darkening the sky
And it was going to rain.
The whitebird sat
In the primordial grassland.

Among three weathered pilings,
The only moving thing
Were the wings of the whitebird.
III
The river is moving.
The whitebird must be flying.
